Dallas Souvenir: Showcasing the Vibrant Youth Movement of the Malayalee Pentecostal Churches in America

Published this year under the esteemed patronage of the Dallas Pentecostal Youth Conference (PYCD), Dallas Souvenir serves as a testament to the enduring strength and vitality of one of the most influential youth organizations within the Malayalee Pentecostal community in the United States. With a proud forty-one-year legacy, this spiritual movement not only commands admiration among the youth but also stands as a shining example for the entire faith community through its diverse range of activities.

From its humble beginnings, when a mere 250 individuals gathered in 1982, this youth movement has blossomed into a united community of thousands. Today, PYCD boasts an impressive membership of 37 churches within the Dallas region, solidifying its role as a prominent force in shaping the spiritual landscape of the area.

A Celebration of Talent and Faith

The PYCD Annual Conference, a highlight of the youth calendar, sets the stage for an awe-inspiring display of religious devotion, artistic expression, and sporting excellence. In addition to the soul-stirring spiritual gatherings, the conference also hosts an array of captivating art and sports competitions, captivating audiences from near and far.

Of particular note is the talent test that took place on August 12 this year, attracting hundreds of young women and children eager to showcase their unique gifts. These talented individuals left an indelible mark on the event, adding an extra layer of vibrancy to this already remarkable gathering.

As a testament to their commitment to community and unity, members of the faithful ─ irrespective of age or denomination ─ join forces on a designated Sunday for an uplifting joint worship session. This annual tradition rekindles the spirit of togetherness that lies at the heart of PYCD’s ethos.

Marking a significant milestone in the history of the conference, this year’s edition of the PYCD Annual Conference will witness the inaugural publication of the Dallas Souvenir. Serving as a testament to the remarkable journey of PYCD, this souvenir promises to be a cherished keepsake for attendees.

The organizers extend an invitation to the community, calling upon them to contribute their photos, historical facts, and personal experiences related to Dallas. All valuable submissions can be sent to pycdconference@gmail.com for consideration.
