Dell Technologies, which had recently received great expectations in the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) market, has been revealed to have not purchased Bitcoin (BTC).

According to Cointelegraph, a virtual asset media outlet, on the 29th (local time), Dell announced in its second quarter balance sheet that server orders due to increased demand for AI increased 23% quarter-on-quarter to $3.2 billion in the second quarter of the fiscal year. The company’s total revenue was $25 billion, up 9% year-on-year. Bitcoin holdings, which had been anticipated by the virtual asset market, were not included in the balance sheet.

As Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, has increasingly mentioned Bitcoin this year, expectations in the market have grown that Dell Technologies will start buying Bitcoin.

Earlier, on June 21, Michael Dell said via X (Twitter) that “scarcity creates value.” This is a phrase that emphasizes Bitcoin’s supply limit and is often used when referring to Bitcoin. In addition, on June 29, he included Bitcoin as an item in a survey asking, “What is most valuable?”, drawing attention from virtual asset investors. In the survey, Bitcoin ranked first with 43.1% of the four items.
