DYFI’s State General Secretary, VK Sanoj, took to social media to clarify the situation and stated that if any responsible leader or worker from DYFI made such a claim, it should be made public.

Sanoj also addressed Joy Mathew’s comment regarding “Kootar,” a program in which DYFI members distribute food to those in need. Sanoj emphasized that this program has been incredibly successful in Kerala, serving countless individuals from various backgrounds without any political, religious, or caste bias. He questioned who truly holds a metaphorical “dagger” in their hand, considering the significant impact DYFI has made in alleviating hunger.

Open Letter to Joy Mathew

Mr. Joy Mathew,

I am glad to hear that your health has improved following your car accident, and I wish you a swift recovery. However, your recent comments mocking and demeaning DYFI through the media regarding your hospitalization raise concerns. Firstly, DYFI upholds the noble human value of assisting anyone in need, regardless of their affiliations.

Your persistent anti-left stance over the past few years is well-known to society. Nevertheless, it is irrelevant whether you previously praised the government, the party, and progressive movements when the left came into power and now support Modi and Rahul Gandhi while belittling the left’s progressivism.

You claim that there are rumors suggesting that DYFI employees took you to the hospital. I question the source of these allegations. Did any officials from the DYFI state and local leadership or any responsible members make such claims? If so, I urge you to make this information public.

Let me clarify that I am not referring to falsehoods propagated by fake IDs or IT cell products under your new tent. Instead, I encourage you to substantiate your claim by clarifying whether any responsible DYFI members explicitly stated that they were the ones who took you to the hospital.

You belittle the commendable DYFI project called “Potichor” by referring to it as a group of people carrying a pot of rice in one hand and a dagger in the other. Even the BJP state president, K. Surendran, shared similar views. However, it is worth noting that no youth organization in the history of Kerala or even the country has successfully implemented a program like this for such a prolonged period. Through the generous contributions of numerous kind-hearted individuals from various households in Kerala, irrespective of their political affiliations, caste, or religion, crores of potichors have been distributed, thereby feeding millions of needy individuals. It is disheartening to witness your disdain for such a noble cause.

You also question the integrity of socially committed youth who may not receive the same recognition as so-called “X Naxalites,” as they tirelessly distribute rice packets. Who truly wields the metaphorical dagger? It is important to remember the group with tears in their eyes when Rahul Gandhi visited Wayanad, as they led the Congress leaders to the criminal responsible for the tragic stabbing of a nineteen-year-old engineering student in Idukki. However, you choose to focus on the tent of killers, disregarding the sacrifices made by DYFI activists such as Haq Mohammad and Mithlaj, who lost their lives in past encounters.

Joy Mathew, who once intended to instigate a revolution in the forest, seems to have forgotten the essence of his own aspirations. Instead of questioning DYFI, a movement aimed at bringing about positive change, you should reconsider your alliances with BJP and Congress platforms. Do not come and complain about DYFI when they challenge your beliefs.

An open letter to Joy Mathew.

Mr Joy Mathew,

I am glad to hear that your health has improved after being treated for a car accident. I wish you a speedy return to your karmic field in good health. Your note was seen mocking and abusing the DYFI through the media regarding the issue of you being rushed to hospital in an accident. First of all, DYFI honors the noble human value of whoever brought you to the hospital from the accident site.

The anti-leftism that has plagued you over the last few years is not new information to society. I don’t know if you spoke in praise of that government, the party and the progressive movements when the left government came to power, and now you praise Modi and Rahul Gandhi and disparage the left progressive movements. That’s not the point anyway.

You claim that there is a rumor that DYFI employees took you to the hospital. Who is campaigning like that? Did the state and local leadership of DYFI, any responsible leader or employee claim so? If so, you can give it to the public.

I’m not talking about messages from any fake ID that produces anti-leftist material like a circus. Not related to IT-cell products in your new tent. To substantiate your claim you should clarify whether any responsible employees of DYFI said anywhere that DYFI employees took Joy Mathew to the hospital.

You mocked the hearty DYFI project potichor and said it was ‘a bunch of people walking around with a potichor in one hand and a dagger in the other’. Earlier, BJP state president, K. Surendran said it is. You must now be scoffing at the same plan with constant contact in their tent.
Not even in the history of Kerala, not even in the country, has any youth organization successfully run a program like this for so long. Crores of potichors given by many healthy people from lakhs of houses in Kerala irrespective of their party politics, caste and religion, removes the hunger of crores of helpless people. These are the ones that Joy Mathew has despised.

You insult the dignity of a group of socially committed youth who may not catch the eye of the X Naxalites in their run from flat to caravan and the many good human beings who provide those packets of rice. Mr. Joey Mathew Who has the dagger in his hand? When Rahul Gandhi comes to visit Wayanad, you are also included in the group of those who bring an elephant and give a speech. If you look back at that stage, you will see the group with tears in their hands that you mentioned. Who honored the leadership position of the state and led the Congress leaders to the criminal who stabbed to death a nineteen year old youth studying in an engineering college in Idukki? You are talking about Dagger from the tent of the killers about the movement that has martyred half a dozen lives at the knife point of Congress-Youth criminals like Haq Mohammad, Mithlaj etc. in the past.

Joy Mathew, who went to create a revolution in the forest with a gun barrel, does not feel even a fraction to say this? Revolutionary lion, you should take a turn on BJP and Congress platforms. But don’t come and complain about meke DYFI when they eat their brains.
