Elon Musk praises China’s high-speed rail in response to Dogecoin founder’s Twitter tweet

Elon Musk, founder of US electric car maker Tesla, praised China and Japan’s railways in response to a tweet.

It is said that Dogecoin founder Billy Markus (Twitter pseudonym Shibetoshi Nakamoto) posted on July 8 that in his opinion, there is nothing better than taking a comfortable and fast train for long-distance travel.

Billy Marcus says such trains are rare in the United States, so he often feels jealous when traveling abroad.

In response to his tweet, Musk said, “China and Japan both have amazing trains.” He also suggested that Marcus take the high-speed train from Beijing to Xi’an to visit the Terracotta Warriors.

On the other hand, the sale of Twitter to Musk for $44 billion is reportedly in serious trouble.

The Washington Post, citing several people familiar with the matter, said Musk’s team believed Twitter had failed to identify fake account data on its platform, raising the risk of a deal falling through.

According to the report, Musk’s talks with investors have cooled in recent days, because his team has questioned the internal database firehose received from Twitter, believes that there is not enough information to evaluate Twitter’s business prospects, so it plans to change course. The report also quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that his camp has now stopped discussing the financing of the acquisition.

Twitter executives insisted earlier on the 7th that the proportion of fake accounts on the platform was less than 5%, while Musk believed that the actual proportion was much higher. This is the core issue he has been complaining about. He had previously threatened not to buy Twitter because of the issue.

Neither Musk nor a Twitter spokesman immediately responded to a request for comment on the newspaper’s report.
