Energy Summit in Ras Al Khaimah with the aim of ensuring energy efficiency and generating new contributions in the field in the coming days. The Energy Summit will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, at the Rak Al Hamra International Exhibition Conference Hall on October 4 and 5. Energy production according to the development of the industrial sector and commercial and enterprises, reducing the level of environmental pollution are the main topics of the summit.
By 2040, 30 percent electricity savings, a 20 percent reduction in water use, and 20 percent renewable energy are the goals of Rack Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Discussions will focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy in line with the UAE’s stated goal of mitigating climate change. International agencies, local self-governing bodies, the private sector, government representatives from different countries, academics etc. will participate in the first Energy Summit held by Rak Municipality, said Muntar Mohammad, Director General of Rak Municipality.
