The 10th Genpei Cup in Shimonoseki: Empowering Junior High School Basketball
Shimonoseki City, a historic town overlooking the Kanmon Straits, is set to host the 10th Genpei Cup, a junior high school basketball tournament. The event aims to improve the basketball skills and vitality of young athletes while promoting exchanges between players and coaches from neighboring prefectures.
Organizers and Co-organizers
The Genpei Cup Executive Committee, in collaboration with INSTINCT BROTHERS Inc., Three Arrows Parents Association, and other sponsors, is working together to make this event a success.
Participating Teams and Sponsors
Approximately 60 teams, comprising U15 boys and girls, will participate in the tournament, with around 1,500 participants, including 1,000 players and 500 parents. The event is sponsored by Shimonoseki Convention Association, DUPER Co., Ltd., Rocky Sports Co., Ltd., Catering Takato, bebecosmetique Co., Ltd., Artisans Production Co., Ltd., LISEM (YOUTUBER), HATA AGE Co., Ltd., Shimanami Brewery, and PBK Co., Ltd.
Tournament Details
The 10th Genpei Cup will take place from Saturday, September 21st to Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at J:COM Arena, Bell-chan Gymnasium, and Yumegaoka Gymnasium.
The success of the Genpei Cup is made possible by the cooperation of many companies. We aim to provide as much support as possible to the athletes who continue to pursue their dreams, starting from this tournament.
