TRY! ASICS! TENNIS 2024 ~Find your best shoes!~
Event Overview
ASICS Japan is hosting an experiential tennis event, “TRY! ASICS! TENNIS 2024 ~Find your best shoes!~”, at the Water Terrace on the 5th floor of the Sumitomo Real Estate Shopping City Ariake Garden Mall. The event will run for three days only from September 27th to September 29th, 2024, and participation is free.
*This event is open to those aged 13 and over.
Event Highlights
This event will provide an opportunity for tennis players to understand their own strengths and weaknesses and get hints for improvement through content that measures the three abilities required of tennis players – “speed and agility,” “power,” and “coordination,” as well as support in choosing shoes that suit their playing style. ASICS provides shoes according to playing style to contracted athletes such as Novak Djokovic, Alex de Minaur, and Jasmine Paolini.
Main Contents
Speed & Agility Zone
Participants run with a racket and swing over a sensor, which detects their swing with a non-contact sensor and measures their time.
Power Zone
The speed of the serve is measured using a speedometer.
Coordination Zone
Participants hit the ball from the tossing machine towards a target of the same color as the illuminated sensor in the center of the net.
