Kochi: Four trains, including Intercity, have been canceled due to derailment of a goods train at Aluva. The Guruvayur-Thiruvananthapuram Intercity, Ernakulam-Kannur Intercity, Nilambur-Kottayam Express and Punalur-Guruvayur Express have been canceled.
The Ernakulam-Pune Express (22149) will leave Ernakulam Junction at 8.15 am the next day. The train is scheduled to leave at 5.15 am. Runs three hours late. Traffic was restored on one track by 2 p.m. The train can run on both tracks by 8 p.m.
A freight train carrying cement to Kollam derailed in Aluva last night. The accident happened while changing the track. The last bogies were the ones that slipped.
