Rumored Emoji Reply Feature Coming to Gmail
In a recent development, Google is said to be planning the integration of an emoji reply feature into its widely popular email service, Gmail. The news has ignited speculation among users, leaving them eager for this addition.
According to reports from foreign media, Steve Moser, an iOS developer, made an interesting discovery while sifting through the hidden code of the iOS Gmail app. Apparently, he stumbled upon an email reaction button that could potentially allow users to reply to emails using emojis.
This feature is not entirely new to the realm of email providers, as Microsoft’s Outlook email has already incorporated this functionality. Currently, Outlook users can simply tap on the smiley face icon located in the top right corner of the message window, revealing a selection of six emojis to choose from. By selecting the desired emoji, users can swiftly send a reply with a touch of creativity. “Emoji replies in Gmail will work in a similar way,” claimed an anonymous tipster.
Although Gmail’s emoji reply feature has been discreetly added to the latest update for iOS, its official release is expected to be just around the corner. However, it remains unclear whether this feature will also be made available to Android users simultaneously.
