Foreign media reported on the 25th (local time) that support for Google’s generative artificial intelligence (AI) model “Gemini” will be extended to the ▲Android 10 and ▲Android 11 operating systems.
Google announced earlier this year that it would be bringing Gemini to Android devices. Currently, the minimum requirement to install the Gemini app is Android 12, but if you install the latest version (1.0.626720042), you can install it on older Android devices running Android 10 or later.
Gemini is a multimodal AI model that generates not only text but also images, voices and videos. Depending on the learning scale it is divided into Ultra, Pro and Nano. Among them, Gemini Nano is a lightweight and efficient version for working on devices such as smartphones and laptops.
The first generation Gemini Nano was applied to the Galaxy S24 series released earlier this year, and it is reported that the second generation Gemini Nano will be applied to the upcoming S25 series which will be released early next year.
