Has been making samosas in the toilet for over 30 years; Authorities shut down a popular hotel in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah: A hotel in Saudi Arabia has been shut down for more than 30 years after it was discovered that snacks, including samosas, had been prepared in the toilet. A popular hotel in Jeddah has been closed by Saudi authorities after it became aware of unsanitary conditions. The action was taken by the Jeddah Municipality.

The shocking discovery was made during a raid by municipal officials following information that the hotel was preparing food in an unhygienic environment. On inspection, municipal officials found that most of the snacks were cooked in the hotel’s toilet, and that some of the lunch curries were sometimes cooked right here.

The inspection also found that the hotel was consuming expired cheese, yoghurt and meat. Municipality officials found that the hotel was operating without complying with any of the standards set by law. It has also been found that hotel employees who have been working for three decades do not have a health card.
