An elementary school female teacher who revealed that she was sent to a mental hospital for remarks that violated the position of the Chinese authorities on the ‘Nanjing Massacre’ and her family are controversial, claiming contradictory claims.
On the 24th, Hong Kong media outlet Ming Pao News introduced articles posted on Weibo by people who claimed to be the family of Lin Tiantian.
According to Ming Pao News, the family argued that “the allegations of Lin Tiantian’s detention in a psychiatric hospital floating around online are misleading.”
Lin Tiantian had been suffering from depression for a long time, and recently his condition worsened and he was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Earlier, Hong Kong Myungbo reported on the 23rd that a female teacher named Li Tiantian, who works at Taozi Elementary School in Yongsun County, Xiangxi, Hunan Province, was sent to a psychiatric hospital for making remarks that contradicted the position of the Chinese authorities regarding the ‘Nanjing Massacre’.
According to the Hong Kong Myungbo, the remarks in question were related to the case of teacher Song Geng-yi at a flyer academy at a junior college in Shanghai.
Teacher Song was fired on the 16th after saying there was insufficient numerical evidence about the ‘300,000 deaths’ in the Nanjing Massacre during class earlier this month. This is because a student attending Song’s class filmed a video and reported it to the education authorities. But looking at his entire class, it turns out that the student who made the accusation made malicious edits.
Teacher Lee pointed out this incident on Weibo on the 17th. He said, “There is no problem with Song Geng’s class content. The problem lies with the student, the school that fired him, the media, and the silent intellectuals.”
He continued, “If you look at the entire video of Teacher Song, there was no incitement or provocation,” he said. Teacher Lee posted another post on Weibo last weekend saying, “Yongsun-hyeon’s Education and Sports Bureau, Public Security Bureau, and lawmakers are coming to threaten me.” He also revealed, “I demanded that I go to the hospital for an injection and receive treatment because I have a mental problem.”
She said that she was pregnant and said, “About 10 people came to me, and they forcibly dragged me to the hospital in underwear, saying it was because of the post that Song was on the teacher’s side.”
Wang, the boyfriend, complained that the girlfriend was four months pregnant and had no problems, and there was no reason to be hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital.
As the controversy grew, it seems that Lin Tiantian’s family posted the news on Weibo.
They urged Weibo to “treat quietly and help me to focus.”
