Kanaya Kumar betrayed the party and communist ideology: D Raja | National | Deshabhimani

New Delhi: CPI general secretary D Raja has said that Kanaya Kumar has betrayed the CPI. He himself was leaving the party. He said the decision was based on personal matters. He left the party because of personal interests. D Raja said that Kanaya had shown that he did not believe in communist ideologies and had been expelled from the party.

Leaving the party means that he is not interested in fighting for the grassroots in the country. I would call it cheating. Communist ideas are being deceived. We defended him whenever the Sangh Parivar attacked him. However, he betrayed the party, Raja said.

Kanaya and Jignesh Mewani, an independent MLA from Gujarat, entered the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi after laying a wreath at the Bhagat Singh statue at Bhagat Singh Park in Delhi.
