KCL, Cho Young-tae inaugurated as new president

Cho Young-tae, former trade policy officer of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, takes office on November 1 as the new president of the Korea Construction Living Environment Testing Institute (KCL).

Director Young-Tae Cho graduated from Seoul National University’s Department of Business Administration and Graduate School of Public Administration and entered public service through the 36th administrative examination. In 1993, he served as the secretary of the Kuju Trade Division of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, secretary of the Industrial Technology Policy Bureau, researcher at Stanford University, director of commerce in Vietnam in Vietnam, head of trade investigation office of the Trade Commission, and head of policy development office of the National Balanced Development Council, having extensive experience in industrial technology and trade policy work. did.

President Cho Young-tae said, “During my tenure, we plan to continuously discover and promote new businesses so that KCL can lead the company’s ESG management and gain global competitiveness. We will do our best to grow.”

KCL is the nation’s largest testing and certification institution, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year as a related institution of the National Institute of Technology and Standards of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. In addition to the existing construction/living/energy/environmental fields, it is actively advancing into new growth areas such as batteries, fire safety, bio, and ESS. It has local subsidiaries in China and Vietnam, and is working hard to strengthen global competitiveness and support exports of Korean companies by signing active business agreements with relevant organizations in the US and Europe.
