King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 771 military officer “Big Noi” rises to the Permanent Secretary of Defense “Big Tao” sits in the chair of Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force. “Big Pong” becomes the commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Air Force.

Today (14 Sept.) Government Gazette website has published an announcement graciously Let military officers serve 771 officers, with Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha, Prime Minister, as a response to the royal command.

  • General Worakiat Rattananon, or Big Noi, is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense.
  • Admiral Somprasong Nilsamai, or Big Tao, was the naval commander.
  • Air Chief Marshal Naphadej Thupatemi, or Big Pong, is the commander-in-chief of the Air Force.

While the Royal Thai Army, including Gen. Apinan Khamphee, is the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army. Lt. Gen. Charoenchai Hinthao, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army Lt. Gen. Phumiphat Chansawang, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, and Lt. Gen. Santiphong Thampiya, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army.

The position of commander-in-chief Lt. Gen. Suksan Nongbualang as commander of the 1st Army Area, Maj. Gen. Sawarat Saengphon as commander of the 2nd Army Area, and Maj. Gen. Tharaphong Malakham as commander of the 1st Little Army.

This is effective from October 1, 2021 onwards.
