Aston Martin Unveils Vanquish, a New V12 Flagship Model
Aston Martin’s Next-Generation Sports Car Portfolio is Now Complete
Aston Martin has unveiled the Vanquish, a new V12 flagship sports car that redefines driving dynamics for a new generation of drivers. The grand premiere was held at the Marina Militaire in Venice, Italy, under the stars at the Venice Film Festival.
A Night to Remember in Venice
The event brought together Aston Martin’s most respected friends from the worlds of film, art, fashion, and business. Guests were treated to musical performances by Grammy-nominated musician Masego, award-winning Italian jazz musician Walter Rich, and international DJ James Righton.
A-List Attendees
Stars from the film world, including five Oscar-winning actors, were in attendance. George Clooney, accompanied by his wife Amal, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner, and Adrien Brody, were among the guests. Bond actor Daniel Craig and fellow British film stars Joe Alwyn and Michael Ward were also in attendance.
Fashion and Art World Attendees
Representing the fashion world were three-time Academy Award-winning designer Sandy Powell, designer Diane von Furstenberg, and models Bianca Brandolini and Poppy Delevingne. Attendees from the world of entertainment, arts, and culture included Australian actor and director Joel Edgerton, American actress Cailee Spaeny, actress Haley Bennett, and BAFTA-winning director Joe Wright.
A Unique Venue
The unveiling took place at the Arsenale di Venezia, a historic crossroads of manufacturing, culture, and the arts that dates back to 1104. The Arsenale was home to up to 2,000 people daily during the Middle Ages, hand-building ships for the Venetian fleet known as La Serenissima (The Serene One).
A Work of Automotive Art
Vanquish marks the end of the most intensive period of new model development in Aston Martin’s 111-year history and completes the brand’s portfolio of next-generation front-engine sports cars. Its debut follows the unveiling of the DB12 at the USAF AIDS Research Gala at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, and the Vantage, which was revealed at the home of British motorsport, Silverstone, in February 2024.
A Growing Connection Between Road and Track
Unveiled by Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, the Vanquish’s arrival signals Aston Martin’s growing connection between road and track and the brand’s ambition to be a leader in high performance.
A Landmark Milestone
Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin Executive Chairman, said: “The launch of Vanquish marks a landmark milestone for Aston Martin as it completes our most modern and powerful portfolio in the segment and strengthens our ultra-luxury positioning.”
A Commitment to Ultra-Luxury and High Performance
“With this launch, we celebrate the rebirth of Aston Martin as an iconic brand and the timeless design, craftsmanship, and technological innovation of our new generation of sports cars. Our flagship Vanquish epitomizes our commitment to ultra-luxury and high performance and is a car that we believe will appeal to a new generation of drivers.”
A Limited-Edition Model
The limited-edition Vanquish is Aston Martin’s highest-performance sports car and is also one of the most exclusive models, with production limited to 1,000 units per year. A unique member of the portfolio, Vanquish is the only car powered by Aston Martin’s bespoke 12-cylinder engine.
A Legacy of Performance
This is the third generation of Aston Martin’s well-known Vanquish model, making its return for the first time since 2018. The original V12-equipped model, released in 2001, was driven by James Bond in ”Die Another Day” (released in 2002) and appeared in 2000s films such as “Tomb Raider” and “The Italian Job”, making a name for itself on the silver screen.
