Vijay’s Tamil Film ‘Leo’ Faces Criticism for Malayalam Dubbing

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay’s new movie ‘Leo’ is set to release on October 19. The highly anticipated big-budget film has grabbed the attention of movie lovers.

The Tamil film ‘Leo’ has been dubbed in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Recently, the Malayalam version released its song ‘Nam Redi’.

However, social media platforms have been flooded with trolls regarding the lyrics of the dubbed song. Critics argue that the Malayalam version fails to match the original in terms of quality.

The lyrics of the Malayalam dubbed song seem repetitive and lack imagination, consisting of phrases like ‘I’m ready to go’ repeated multiple times. Social media users are comparing it to songs typically found in the Kairali channel.

The film features a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Myshkin, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy, Janani, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Babu Antony. ‘Leo’ has received a HE certificate after the censoring process was completed.

‘Leo’ is produced by Lalith Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banners of Seven Screen Studios and The Root. The distribution rights in Kerala have been acquired by Gokulam Gopalan from Sri Gokulam Movies. The production company is planning extensive promotional programs in Kerala. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the distribution partner in Kerala is Dream Big Films. The cinematography is done by Manoj Paramahamsa, action sequences are handled by Anpariv, editing is done by Philomene Raj, and Pratish Shekhar is the PRO.
