The announcement that a metaverse game service that uses artificial intelligence (AI) will be used on LG Electronics TV is attracting attention.

American AI game Oshoman announced in a press release on the 1st (local time) that it has teamed up with Orbit to create AI multiplayer games for LG Electronics TVs.

Orbit is one of the companies that supplies content to LG Electronics smart TVs, and has teamed up with Oshoman for game services. To take advantage of the popularity of LG Electronics, they put the phrase “LG Electronics TV” in the press release.

Added to this was the hot technology of generative AI and metaverse, which was enough to attract the attention of foreign media. Venture Beat, a US technology media outlet, expressed that it is “part of LG’s plan to make the metaverse more accessible to consumers by using Oshoman’s custom AI network to provide a metaverse-like experience on TV.”

In fact, in Oshoman’s application, users can create and play their own multiplayer metaverse with prompts, such as AI that generates images. “We are very excited to be able to do this right on TV,” said Oshoman CEO Negar Shaghaji, “All you need to enjoy our game is a text prompt.”

Orbit announced on the 15th of last month that it will build the world’s best technology platform that supports the metaverse using cloud technology, starting with LG Electronics TV.

LG Electronics is in a position that has not been presented separately. “It is true that Orbit and LG Electronics have signed a contract, but it is difficult to confirm the whole fact that partners have signed content contracts individually,” said Na Joo-young, head of LG Electronics’ public relations team.

Meanwhile, LG Electronics participated in ‘KBIS 2023’ held in Las Vegas, USA from the 31st to the 2nd of last month, and is introducing ‘Signature Kitchen Suite’ and built-in ‘UP Appliances’ super premium.
