“From the World of John wick: Ballerina” garnered $25 million in the U.S. and Canada across 3,409 theaters,
according to studio estimates released Sunday.Initial forecasts placed the film’s opening in the $35 to $40
million range, but those figures were later adjusted. The movie, directed by Len Wiseman, stars Ana de Armas and
features Keanu Reeves as John Wick in a supporting role. the plot unfolds during the timeline of “John Wick
3.”
The performance of “Ballerina” is somewhat surprising, considering the positive reviews from critics and
audience exit polls. Typically, strong word-of-mouth can boost a film’s performance beyond its opening weekend.
