○ Local tax payment ‘Witex System (www.wetax.go.kr)’is currently in normal operation.

○ The next-generation local tax payment ‘WiTax System’, which has improved performance and tax payment convenience over the existing WiTax, was opened at 09:00 on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

○ However, virtual account, credit card payment, and standard market value inquiry functions for buildings have experienced some delays due to the surge in number of users, but are currently operating normally.

– Virtual account* and credit card payments are in normal operation from 13:00, and standard market price inquiries for buildings are in normal operation from 15:40.

* Virtual accounts issued in the system before February 8 cannot be used, and payment can be made through Wi-Tax using the ‘electronic payment number’ on the existing bill.

○ The Ministry of Public Administration and Security will do its best to minimize inconvenience to the public by minimizing delays in local tax system operation.
