Named as the Indian Akhtar; Nayak did not reveal what happened, dashing Indian hopes

Hyderabad: Cricket fans are disappointed with the condition of Umran Malik, who was predicted to be the star of this IPL season. Many said that Umran was India’s Akhtar as he could bowl at a speed of 150 km per hour. However, Umran got a chance in a total of seven matches this season. The player bowled 102 balls and conceded a total of 176 runs.

He took five wickets. His best performance was taking two wickets for 32 runs. Umran has an average of 35.20 and an economy of 10.35 this season. Sunrisers have not given Umran a chance in the last five games. Most recently, Umran was not considered by the team after conceding 22 runs in a match against Delhi Capitals on April 29. Umran is the player who took 22 wickets in 14 matches last season.

Fans are asking why Umran, who surprises with his fastballs, is kept aside based on his poor performance in few matches. Sunrisers captain Aiden Markram’s reaction on the matter fueled the fans’ doubts.

Markram described Umran as a star who definitely has the X factor. But Markram said he doesn’t know what goes on behind the scenes. This is why fans are worried about Umran. The condition of the star, who was assessed as having the ability to lead the Indian pace attack in the future, is disappointing the fans.
