Naver’s AI Chatbot ‘ClovaX’ Generates High Demand in Beta Testing

Hot Demand for Naver’s AI Chatbot ClovaX

Naver, led by CEO Soo-yeon Choi, unveiled its highly anticipated artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, ClovaX, on the 24th. The release of the 4:00 pm beta test immediately sparked a flood of requests, resulting in a rapidly growing waiting list.

An official from Naver stated on the 25th, “As expected, the number of test requests continues to increase.” Although specific figures were not disclosed, it is evident that the demand is surpassing expectations.

To join the waiting list for ClovaX, users need to click the register button when logged into Naver. Approval is granted on a sequential basis, and once approved, users receive a guide post automatically.

While the exact number of subscribers and the duration of the trial period have not been revealed, the pilot operation’s subscriber count is currently capped for stabilization purposes.

However, some beta service participants have expressed disappointment in various communities. They had high expectations, given ClovaX’s emphasis on specialization in the Korean language and anticipated better performance compared to ‘Chat GPT.’ Naver’s stock also experienced a decline of 7.86% (18,000 gained) since the previous day.

In response, Naver stated, “We will continue to enhance ClovaX functions through testing,” and emphasized that no specific time limit has been set for the beta testing phase.
