On the afternoon of the 20th (local time), President Yoon will be a speaker at the general discussion of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA. He will be the 10th member of the member states to stand on the podium and speak in Korean.

In this speech, President Yoon emphasizes cooperation and unity between democratic countries and emphasizes the importance of economic security, such as establishing a global supply chain.

In addition, as a ‘world leader country’, Korea’s contribution to the international community and future contributions will be discussed in detail.

He also talks about the ‘bold initiative’ that President Yun proposed as a new nuclear solution to North Korea. At the same time, he is expected to repeatedly call for the denuclearization of North Korea.

President Yoon met with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, this afternoon to discuss strengthening cooperation with the United Nations and close cooperation on international issues.

On the 21st, a series of bilateral talks have been arranged with US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. He also attends a reception hosted by the Bidens.
