Mingaku Announces Joint Research with Sapporo International University on Generative AI in Education

This research will be carried out mainly through the following two projects:

Development of Training Packages for Teachers
Using “School AI,” Mingaku’s platform for creating educational apps that utilize generative AI, we will develop a training package aimed at improving teachers’ literacy regarding generative AI. It is expected that this will enable teachers to effectively use generative AI technology in the classroom and acquire the skills to support the learning of each student.

Research and Development of AI-Generated Content for Moral Education
Utilizing the knowledge of Associate Professor Masaki Yasui, an expert in moral education, we will work on research and development of new moral education content using generative AI. By providing customized content according to the developmental stage of students, we aim to improve the quality of moral education and make it more effective.
Background and Objectives
Rapidly evolving AI technology is bringing about major changes in the field of education. In particular, generative AI has the potential to provide personalized learning experiences that meet the needs of each individual student. However, teachers need sufficient literacy and skills to effectively utilize this technology.
Additionally, in moral education, there is a need to develop flexible teaching materials that are appropriate for students’ stages of development.
Against this background, Mingaku Inc. and the Yasui Laboratory at Sapporo International University have begun joint research to explore the possibility of using generative AI in the field of education. Through two projects, the development of a training package for teachers and the development of generative AI content for moral education, we aim to concretely demonstrate how AI can be useful in the field of education.
Future Developments
Based on the results of this joint research, we plan to provide training packages and moral education content that utilize generative AI to educational institutions and schools. It is expected that the use of generative AI will improve the quality of lessons in educational settings and realize individually optimized learning.
