25 years in prison,
but is appealing the verdict.

His lawyer,Alexandra Shapiro,argued the trial was “fundamentally unfair,”
claiming FTX’s collapse was due⁢ to a liquidity crisis,not fraud. Tho,
judges on the Second Circuit Court of appeals were reportedly skeptical, with
one stating⁤ there was “very substantial evidence of guilt.”

A pardon ‍remains a potential path forward for Bankman-Fried.
