Samsung Electronics is preparing to launch a 5G variant of the Galaxy A23.
According to foreign media on the 27th (local time), the ‘Galaxy A23 5G’ model with the SM-236U model number was found on the benchmark website Geekbench.
‘Galaxy A23 5G’ provides Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, 4GB RAM, and Android 12 operating system. For reference, the Galaxy A23 4G model released in March is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor.
The Snapdragon 695 processor is an upgraded version of the 690 chip, featuring mmWave 5G support, a 15% CPU improvement, and a 30% GPU improvement. The variant found on Geekbench has 4GB of RAM, but is expected to offer 6GB and 8GB versions as well.
In addition, the ‘Galaxy A23 5G’ model may have some improvements in camera specifications compared to the 4G model. Availability and pricing information for the ‘Galaxy A23 5G’ model is not yet known.
