Samsung Electronics is preparing to introduce its highly anticipated tablet series, the Galaxy Tab A9, in the domestic market.

Industry insiders recently discovered a test firmware called ‘SM-X216N (KOO),’ which is associated with the Galaxy Tab A9, through the app ‘Checkfirm.’ The model number, SM-X216, coincides with the ‘Galaxy Tab A9+’ model that was recently spotted on the Geekbench website. Significantly, the letter ‘N’ at the end of the model number indicates that this particular variant is intended for release in Korea.

Geekbench has already confirmed several key specifications for the Galaxy Tab A9+. This variant will feature a Snapdragon 695 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and run on the latest Android 13 operating system.

In terms of battery capacity, the base model, as identified in documents from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), is equipped with a 5100mAh battery. However, the specific battery capacity for the Plus model has yet to be confirmed.

Although Samsung has not officially announced the release date for the Galaxy Tab A9 series, well-informed sources suggest that the company will unveil it at the IFA 2023 event in Berlin, Germany next month.
