He was introduced as a producer who is the son-in-law of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Later, Chahat claimed he received threats and demanded money to protect his name. The incident happened in 2018. The actress was taken to Tihar Jail by tricking her into going to school. The actor spent about half an hour in Tihar.

“Before returning to Mumbai, he transferred two lakh rupees. Then there were calls asking for more money. He threatened to release the video of his visit to Tihar jail if he did not pay 10 lakhs. I thought no one should know that. I was also worried that my family life would be affected. So he decided to donate money” – says Chahat Khanna.

The investigation into the money laundering case involving Sukash Chandrasekhar and Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi is underway.
