[ソウル 19日 ロイター] – Zeneta, an air and sea freight information platform, said on the 19th that air cargo on the main garment export route from Vietnam to Europe has seen an unreasonable surge, and shippers are struggling with ship disruptions due to ship attacks in the Red Sea. It has been revealed that this shows that the company is eyeing expensive air transport.

Weekly cargo volume on the same route through the 14th increased by 62% compared to the previous week, and freight rates increased by 10%. This period is usually a low season for air cargo.

Logistics companies have previously predicted that more manufacturers will try to ship goods by air in the coming weeks after attacks on ships by pro-Iranian Houthi rebels from Yemen forced them to find alternative routes that were showing.

A Zeneta representative said, “It will be clear whether there will be a full and significant change over the next two weeks.”
