The Council of Ministers approves the organization of the Tourism Authority and the witness protection system

The Council of Ministers, headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in the session held by the Council of Ministers, today, in Riyadh, approved the system for protecting whistleblowers, witnesses, experts, and victims. The Council also approved the organization of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Political messages

At the beginning of the session, the Council reviewed the overall consultations and talks that took place between the Kingdom and a number of brotherly and friendly countries during the past days, including the two letters that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received from the President of Gambia and the King of Spain.

Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council

The Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers for Shura Council Affairs and Acting Minister of Information, Dr. Essam bin Saeed, explained that the Council of Ministers noted the results reached by the (third) meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which was held under the chairmanship of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and his Bahraini counterpart, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

Fixed position

The Council stressed the contents of the consultative meeting called by the Kingdom to discuss developments in the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, including emphasizing the necessity of ending the war and reaching an immediate and complete ceasefire, lifting the restrictions obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip, and the importance of taking steps to implement the two-state solution and recognition. In the State of Palestine on the (4th) lines of June 1967 AD, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

World Defense Exhibition

The Council of Ministers reviewed a set of reports on the most prominent international events and exhibitions hosted by the Kingdom during the recent period, praising in this context the success achieved by the World Defense Exhibition, which embodies the state’s support for the military industries sector, and its endeavor to enhance and develop its national capabilities, and to provide more international cooperation in this field. Of the promising opportunities and prospects; In line with the goals of (Vision 2030).

The Council reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed what the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts of the Council of Ministers concluded in this regard.

Council decisions

– Discussing with the Singaporean side a draft memorandum of understanding on establishing the Strategic Partnership Council.

– Discussing with the Arab Center for Studies of Dry Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), regarding a draft agreement for cooperation in the fields of environment, water and agriculture, and signing it.

– A memorandum of cooperation with India to cooperate in the field of digitization and electronic manufacturing.

– Discussing with the Norwegian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment.

– Discussing with Ethiopia, Eritrea, Burundi, Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya regarding a draft memorandum of scientific and educational cooperation.

– Discussing with the Latin Committee for Civil Aviation (Latin Bloc) regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for technical cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

– A cooperation agreement in the field of combating terrorist crimes and its financing between the Kingdom and Indonesia.

– A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of traveler security between the Kingdom and Bahrain.

– Any member of the Board of the Capital Market Authority – including the Chairman of the Board and the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority – may be a member of the boards of directors of government agencies, not to exceed two memberships, as an exception to Article (9) of the Capital Market Law.

– Approval of the system of protection for informants, witnesses, experts and victims.

– Approval of the regulation of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

– Appointing Rakan bin Hussein Al-Harithi, Mohieddin bin Saleh Kamel, Abdul Majeed bin Ahmed Al-Haqbani, Khaled bin Walid Al-Khudair, and Sinan bin Ismat Al-Saadi, as members of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, who are interested, specialized and experienced in fields related to the work of the Authority, for a period of ( Three years.

– Dr. Zaid bin Mukhlid bin Zaid Al-Makhlafi Al-Harbi.

– Saad bin Nasser bin Abdullah Abu Haimad.

Hussein bin Nasser bin Salama Al-Dakhil Allah.

– Dr. Faisal bin Ibrahim bin Omar Ghulam.

The following were appointed to the position of Minister Plenipotentiary:

Ali bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Hussein Al Shehri.

-Hassan bin Saeed bin Hassan Al-Kumaim.

– Fahd bin Hussein bin Abdul Rahman Al-Omair.

– Ahmed bin Hudayri bin Mathur Al-Khamshi Al-Anazi.

– Mishari bin Mutlaq bin Muhammad Al-Dhiyabi.

– Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Kharashi was promoted to the position of (Business Advisor), Rank (14), at the Ministry of Interior.

Manal bint Mubarak Al-Lahibi is promoted to the position of (General Director) at rank (14) at the Ministry of Education.

– Muhammad bin Obaid bin Abdullah Al-Saedi is promoted to the position of (Business Advisor), rank (14), in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
