The EEC Council extended the threshold for duty-free importation of goods into the EAEU until October 1 | EAEU Duties | AFN | Belarusian news | Republic of Belarus

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) today approved an increased threshold for duty-free importation of goods for individuals for another six months – until October 1, 2023. This was announced following the meeting of the EEC Council by the Commission’s official representative Iya Malkina.

According to her, the issue was considered at the initiative of the Russian side.

“Until October 1 this year, the threshold for duty-free importation of goods for individuals will be 1,000 euros and 31 kg for goods transported by a carrier or in postal items, brought in as baggage by all modes of transport, except for air, or on foot,” Malkina said.

The decision will enter into force 10 days from the date of publication and will apply to legal relations that arose from April 1.

Malkina also recalled that the threshold for duty-free importation by plane remains at the level of 10,000 euros and 50 kg.
