New Delhi: The winners of the fifth edition of the Times of India Sports Award have been announced. The award winners in 20 categories were announced at a ceremony held in Delhi. Among those who have received the award are sportsmen who performed brilliantly for India in the Olympic and Paralympic Games last year. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, silver medalist PV Sindhu and other dignitaries attended the award ceremony.

Tokyo Olympics winner Neeraj Chopra received the Times of India Sportsperson of the Year award. Tokyo Paralympic Games gold and bronze medalist Avani Lakhra was selected as the best para athlete. Mary Kom was chosen as the inspirational female star of the decade. The best young actor award went to weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga.
Neeraj Chopra as the historical man; Silver at the World Athletics ChampionshipsThe Lifetime Achievement Award goes to former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi. The best team award went to the Olympic bronze medalist hockey team. The award is given to the Haryana government for its contributions in the field of sports. Weightlifting coach Vijay Sharma and Boxing coach Sandhya Gurang were selected as the best coaches. The Athletics Federation of India received the Times of India Best Federation Award.
