Unanswered Questions Remain in Kalamassery Blast Investigation

Kochi – Just three and a half hours after the blast, Dominic Martin, a Kochi native, surrendered to the police and claimed responsibility for the incident. However, central agencies and the Kerala Police still have unanswered questions.

The key questions are as follows:
– Is Dominic Martin acting alone, or does he have accomplices?

Martin filmed his actions on his phone. Initially, he identified himself as a native of Kadavantra but it was later discovered that he had been renting a house in Tammanam for the past six years.

During the search of his rented house, authorities found out that Martin had been working abroad until a year ago. On the day of the incident, he left his house at 5 am and arrived at the convention center in Kalamasery with the explosives. He entered and exited the hall twice after 8 o’clock in the morning, and he recorded these movements on his mobile phone.

Martin used to attend Bible classes at the Jehovah’s Witnesses church years ago when he was a believer. However, he left the church after going abroad. While Martin is currently not an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, it was revealed that he had studied the Bible at some point. Apart from this, no further information about him is known.
