Currently, the All Japan Men’s Judo Supervisor. Judo seventh degree.
Professor at the Faculty of Physical Education, Kokushikan University. General Manager of the Kokushikan University Judo Club. Judoka. Born on June 3, 1980. Born in Ishige-cho, Yuki-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture (now Joso City). Graduated from Kokushikan University, completed a master’s course at Kokushikan University Graduate School, and completed a master’s course at Waseda University Graduate School.
2004 Athens Olympics Gold Medal in the over 100kg category.
2003 World Championships Osaka Open Weight Class Gold Medal.
2005 World Championships in Cairo, 100kg gold medal.
He is the first male athlete to win three weight classes at the Olympics and World Championships. He won the All Japan Championships in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2011.
He is also the seventh person in history to win the “triple crown” of judo by winning the All Japan Championships, the World Championships, and the Olympics. April 2009: Lecturer at his alma mater, Kokushikan University
November 2009: Won the Grand Prix Qingdao tournament in the over 100kg category.
