Unveiling the Art of Skin: SAKEBARO AOYAMA Masami Tanaka’s Solo Exhibition
SAKEBARO AOYAMA to Host Solo Exhibition of Leather Artist Masami Tanaka
SAKEBARO, a global sake brand, is set to host a solo exhibition of leather artist Masami Tanaka at SAKEBARO AOYAMA from September 16 to 20, 2024, in Minami-Aoyama.
This marks the first time SAKEBARO, a private members-only store, will display artworks in an open format during the event period. Masami Tanaka, a leather craftsman, will exhibit eight works made from leather, exploring the theme ”Reincarnation of Life” and the responsibilities of those who work with animal skins.
Artist’s Statement
With the theme “Reincarnation of Life”, the exhibition focuses on the responsibilities and roles of those who work with animal skins. What kind of tone will the tanned, revitalized skin produce, transforming into a work of art? We will deliver that image to everyone.
Experience an installation-like exhibition that sharpens your senses and allows you to enjoy the entire space.
