The Seoul Metropolitan Government has allowed the Red Devils to use Gwanghwamun Square.

The city said, “The top priority was to prevent safety accidents and ensure public safety,” and “It was decided to allow use on the condition that Jongno-gu’s safety management plan is followed.”

Initially, the Jongno-gu Office rejected the plan, saying that the security management plan presented by the Red Devils was insufficient.

The Red Devils backed up and resubmitted the plan in one day, and after Jongno-gu’s conditional approval, the city of Seoul decided to give final approval.

The Red Devils will be cheering on the streets on the 24th and 28th and on the 3rd of next month in Gwanghwamun Square.

As a large number of people were expected to gather, the organizers decided to put in 300 people, doubling the number of security control personnel from the previous 150 people.

The main stage, which was supposed to be placed in front of the statue of King Sejong the Great, will be moved to the back of the statue as it was said that only half of the square could be used.

The city plans to install a general situation room on site to prepare for emergencies and prevent human casualties.

On the day of the cheering event, the bus stop closest to Gwanghwamun Square is temporarily closed and the bus route goes through without stopping until the event is over.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do decided to open the main stadium of the Suwon World Cup Stadium on the day of the South Korean match.
