കൈപ്പമംഗലം: Youth Congress hosts Halal Food Fest It was organized by the Kaipamangalam constituency committee of the Youth Congress. Halal Food Fest was held at Eriyat, Kaipamangalam, Thrissur. Inaugurating the event, Youth Congress state general secretary Sobha Subin said that controversies like the halal controversy are being acknowledged to take root in Kerala.

He said that the Sangh Parivar was creating controversy in all spheres of food, clothing and color in the country.

Meanwhile, beef and pork were served on Food Street by DYFI in protest of the halal food controversy. DYFI Food Street protests were held in all major cities under the slogan “Do not mix religion with food”. Pork and beef were served during the protest in Ernakulam.

Since then, DYFI has come out strongly despite the now halal controversy. When the DYFI announced that it would hold a Food Street protest, there were questions from some quarters as to whether pork would be served. In response, pork was served with beef.

BJP leader Sandeep Wachaspati had yesterday asked AA Rahim if he would serve pork. ” Some people have doubts about what food will be on Food Street. Answer In Kerala, all the food eaten by Malayalees is available. Food is human freedom. Every person has the right to eat what he likes and not to eat what he does not like. This country will not care if you say you should not eat what we do not like and you should only eat what we like ” – DYFI Netal S Satish wrote on Facebook.
