Bank manager commits suicide; Police on suicide note

Ayodhya: A 32-year-old deputy manager of the Punjab National Bank was found dead in a rented house near a bank branch in Faizabad. Authorities said the suicide note found on the woman was pointing fingers at two police officers. Ayodhya Police Senior SP Shailesh Pandey said that Shraddha Gupta was killed and the case is being investigated.

Shraddha, who joined the job as a clerk in 2015, later got promoted by writing departmental exams. Police say he has been working in Faizabad since 2018 and is unmarried.

Investigators said the suicide note referred to a police officer, a police constable and another. Further details of the case have not been released.

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has demanded an inquiry into the case involving top officials. He also tweeted that the mention of the IPS officer’s name in the suicide note adds to the seriousness of the matter.
