BlizzCon 2024 Canceled, Blizzard Promises Alternative Celebrations

BlizzCon

Blizzard Entertainment’s annual new product event “BlizzCon” has been canceled.

Blizzard announced on its website on the 26th: “After much discussion over the past year, we have decided not to hold BlizzCon in 2024” and added: “BlizzCon will not disappear forever and we look forward to the next one BlizzCon”.

Blizzard plans to provide information about the new World of Warcraft expansion pack “Internal War” and the first Diablo 4 expansion pack “Vessel of Hatred”, which will be released in the second half of the year, through various channels. We plan to participate in various exhibitions and conferences, including Gamescom in Germany. Microsoft (MS), the parent company that acquired Blizzard, attended Gamescom last year and set up a booth to showcase several new games, including “Starfield,” a new game from its subsidiary Bethesda.

Blizzard said: “To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Warcraft series, we are planning a series of live global events, as well as in-game events,” and added: “These events cannot replace BlizzCon, but we will use all the our creativity and imagination to bring the same spirit of celebration and solidarity.” “We will present it,” he said.
