The High Court on Thursday adjourned consideration of actor Dileep’s anticipatory bail in a case of conspiracy to endanger police officers. The court said that Balachandra Kumar’s statement should be examined. It is understood that the new case is based entirely on this statement. The ban on Dileep’s arrest will continue till Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dileep has filed a petition in the trial court seeking transfer of the footage of the attack on the actress. Dileep said in the petition that the footage was in the possession of Baiju Paul, the investigating officer.

Apart from Dileep, the bail pleas of his brother Anoop and brother-in-law Sooraj will also be considered on that day. The investigation was based on the revelation that Dileep was in possession of the footage of the attack on the actress. The High Court is considering the bail application while the matter is pending. Dileep’s cousin Appu and friend Baiju Chengamanadu, accused in the conspiracy case, have also filed anticipatory bail in the high court.

Last Tuesday, the court heard the bail application and had verbally instructed the police not to arrest Dileep. Dileep claims that the conspiracy case against him was fabricated and that there was malice behind the police action. Dileep’s bail plea states that a new case has been registered against him with the intention of delaying the trial in the case of attacking the actress and prolonging the testimony of the investigating officer.
