Double goal for Giroud; France lead 4-1 Rabiot and Giroud netted; France is in the lead

Doha: In the World Cup football match against Australia, the current champions France lead by four goals against one. Australia struck first, but Olivier Giroud scored twice and Adrien Rabiat and Kylian Mbappe found the back of the net for France.

France hit back through Adrien Rabiat in the 27th minute after a concerted move when Craig Goodwin struck in the ninth minute. Griezmann’s corner was deflected by Theo Hernandez Rabiot. Australian goalkeeper Matthew Ryan got his hands on Rabiot’s head but the ball went into the net. The second goal came through Olivier Giroud before the noise died down. Giroud’s breakthrough goal was in the 32nd minute. France were leading 2-1 at the end of the first half.

The champions attacked in the second half and scored the third goal in the 68th minute through Mbappe. A lovely cross from Dembele from the right was headed by Mbappe between two defenders and into the net. The heat of the third goal came before the next goal. In the 70th minute, Mbappé’s cross from the left was sent into the net by Giroud’s header.
