Dow Jones futures never stop Latest soaring almost 200 points | RYT9

Dow Jones futures continued to rise today. Recently, it has soared nearly 200 points, despite the US’s highest inflation figure in nearly 40 years.

At 9:04 p.m. Thai time, the Dow futures index gained 193 points, or 0.53%, to 35,853 points.

The US Department of Labor said The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation from consumer spending, jumped 6.8 percent year-on-year in November. which is the highest level since June 1982 and was higher than analysts’ estimates of 6.7%.

The CPI also rose 0.8% in November month-over-month. That was 0.7% higher than analysts’ expectations.

The CPI was driven by a surge in food and energy prices. Which has soared to the highest in 13 years year on year

The core CPI, excluding food and energy, rose 0.5% in November from month to month. It was in line with analysts’ forecasts and was up 4.9% year-on-year. which is the highest level since June 1991 This is in line with analysts’ forecasts as well.
