Dow Jones, oil close higher/gold slightly positive

Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 482.54 points, oil prices up 85 cents, while gold rose $1.4.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 34,326.46, up 482.54, or +1.43%, the S&P 500 closed at 4,357.04, up 49.50, or +1.15%, and the Nasdaq closed at 14,566.70, up 118.12, or +0.82%

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed higher on Oct. 1, boosted by positive US economic data releases, progress in the fight against COVID-19. and the trend of passing legislation on infrastructure spending.

Comex gold price for delivery in December Up $1.4 or 0.08% to close at $1,758.4/ounce. and rose 0.4% this week.
