While housing donations are increasing overall this year, Gyeonggi-do, Busan, and Daegu showed remarkable increases.

According to the monthly donation statistics of the Korea Real Estate Agency on the 25th, the total number of housing donations nationwide from this year to last July was 89,941, a 10% increase from the same period last year.

In the metropolitan area, Seoul recorded 17,147 cases, a decrease of 3.5% compared to the same period last year, while Gyeonggi increased by 16% and Incheon by 7.7%.

In non-metropolitan areas, Daegu showed a high increase rate of 25% and Busan 27%.

This phenomenon is interpreted to have affected the number of donations as the capital area and major metropolitan areas were tied up as regulated areas and the transfer tax was heavy, and the perception that donations are relatively more profitable than transfers spread.
