Tensions between the ruling and opposition parties are rising over the nomination of Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon and the separation of the prosecution’s investigative powers.

In addition, the Democratic Party even argued that a personnel hearing on a candidate should be rejected.

Candidate Dong-Hoon Han strongly criticized the Democratic Party’s push to abolish the prosecution’s investigation right from the first day to prepare for the personnel hearing.

“I think a lot of people will be curious about what has happened over the past five years and why we have to make a night escape without any justification.”

Today, I did not disclose my commute and focused on preparing for personnel hearings.

The Democratic Party strongly objected that a candidate declared war to the National Assembly, and some even argued for refusal of a personnel hearing.

There is no need for a hearing, as President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol foretold political retaliation, and the nomination of one candidate made it clear that he intended to privatize the prosecution power.

“I think he has also gained confidence that he will somehow stop the prosecution’s policy of separating investigation and prosecution. Isn’t it right to prevent them from entering the hearing itself?”

People’s Power Representative Lee Jun-seok strengthened the candidate’s claim that “the Democratic Party should quickly give up the low-level censorship controversy,” and responded to the claim of refusal of the personnel hearing, saying, “I feel the Democrats’ fear.”

Even over the bill to separate the prosecution’s investigative powers, the opposition and opposition parties were engrossed in the formulation of a strategy.

The People’s Power reached out to the Justice Party, saying that it would use all means, including filibusters, to block the process of the law.

“The Justice Party leader Yeo Young-guk also said that the timing and method were inappropriate, so I expect that such a stance will continue to be maintained.”

If the Democratic Party does not secure the 180 seats necessary to end the filibuster, it plans to use a ‘salami tactic’ that splits the extraordinary session of the National Assembly into two or three days.

“The most important thing is Chairman Park Byung-seok. So I know that we are communicating a lot now.”

Tensions are rising as the Democratic Party plans to pass a bill to separate the prosecution’s investigative powers in the National Assembly Judiciary Committee early next week.
