DUBAI (Reuters) – Iran has reached an agreement to buy Russia’s newest Sukhoi-35 fighter jets, state-run Iranian television said on Monday, citing Iran’s mission to the United Nations. Russia is using Iranian drones to invade Ukraine, further strengthening military ties between the two countries.

The details of the agreement are not known, and no announcement from the Russian side has been reported. Iran is also looking into buying military aircraft from several other countries, the people said.
