[디지털투데이 AI리포터] Online media Gigajin reported on the 27th (local time) that Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft’s gaming division, expressed dissatisfaction with portable gaming PCs.

Spencer pointed out the poor performance when playing on a portable gaming PC. However, this is a Windows issue, not a problem with the device itself.

He then expressed his desire for a new portable gaming PC that could display Xbox apps full screen and run them easily. Providing the feeling of being able to immediately play Xbox by connecting to a TV and providing a social experience is not necessarily the icing on the cake.

However, the industry explains that Steam Deck, which currently comes with its own Linux-based operating system, “Steam OS”, is realizing this to some extent. Steam Deck gives you access to the same library of games as Steam for PC. Additionally, the UI is the same as Steam Big Picture Mode for PC.

Meanwhile, Spencer has not commented on rumors that Microsoft may be developing a portable Xbox. Previously, Xbox’s hardware team also declined to comment, saying, “We’re looking at possibilities with various hardware form factors.”
