[London, 25th Reuters]-The Russian Defense Ministry said on the 25th that the first phase of “military operations” in Ukraine was almost completed and that it would focus on the complete “liberation” of the Donbus region in eastern Ukraine.

The Pentagon’s announcement suggested that Russia may have switched to a more limited target in the face of fierce resistance from Ukraine.

According to the Russian state news agency, pro-Russian factions currently control 93% of Lugansk and 54% of Donetsk in the Donbus region.

The Pentagon also said it would not rule out the possibility of attacking other Ukrainian cities and would immediately counter any attempt to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

In addition, it was announced that the Russian army had killed 1351 people and injured 3825 people in the Ukrainian battle so far. He added that the “operation” would continue until the goal set by President Putin was achieved.
