[헤럴드경제=박승원 기자] Peng Hyeon-suk, a comedian and businessman who runs a large restaurant in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, has been caught up in suspicions of illegal occupation of the land.

According to a report by the Ilyo Shimbun on the 11th, part of a restaurant in Namyangju, run by Hyunsuk Paeng, had been illegally occupied as a parking lot and outdoor deck even though it was farmland.

The current owner of the restaurant is Peng’s younger brother, Pang Mo, who changed the business when the restaurant moved to the current restaurant site in November last year. At the site of the previous restaurant, Pang Hyeon-suk was said to have illegally occupied some farmland.

In addition, suspicions were raised that there were accusations of violating the Mountain Area Management Act, such as the cafe owned by Hyeon-sook Paeng, who appeared on the show and presented it, to be used as an outdoor table and parking area .

In response, Hyeon-sook Paeng argued, “As a public figure, I have not committed any illegal acts or broken the law with any intention.

He also emphasized, “If you want to restore the original state, you can do it at any time, and we are currently preparing for the ongoing work.”

However, the local government said, “We have already requested several restoration works. It’s still a problem that hasn’t been cured.”

Hyeon-sook Pang is a representative comedy couple married to Yang-rak Choi, and they are known to own more than 20 buildings in the real estate business such as gap investment and rental business.
