27inch iMac

At the Apple special event on the early morning of the 9th, the super powerful Mac mini “Mac Studio” was announced, but behind the scenes, the 27-inch iMac was discontinued at Apple’s official online store.

The latest 27-inch iMac (formally iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020)) has been removed from the Mac category of the official online store, and the only all-in-one Mac with a display is the 24-inch iMac. Even though it is the latest, the processor is the 10th generation Intel Core processor, which was located two before the latest 12th generation Core as of 2022.

The basic design of the 27-inch iMac was a continuation of that of the 2012 model. The “thick bezel and chin at the bottom of the screen,” which has been a feature of the iMac for several years, and the iMac with Intel chips have disappeared.

The latest desktop Mac Studio is said to be the “strongest power spot” and fits comfortably under the “Studio Display” of the 27-inch 5K standalone monitor that was announced at the same time, and the total occupied space is not much different from the 27-inch iMac. It’s also speculated that Apple has decided that it no longer needs a large iMac.
